Escher Audi Commercial
This French site has posted an interesting Audi car commercial that uses some of the reality bending techniques that MC Escher used. Cool stuff.

"Manly" gymnastics
Growing up with younger sisters, I was always being drug around to their after school activities. I always thought that the flips, flops and swinging around that was done into the "pit" was a blast. My enthusiasm was stymied by the mere fact that I was continually told that I was too tall. Heck, I by my own admission, I was way too uncoordinated too! Well, I gotta admire this fellow, and his flippin' antics:

My first baby
When I was in junior high I saved up money from my paper route and helped purchase my first computer, a high-end Atari 800. This machine was superior to the Vic 20, and on par with the Commodore 64. Heck, I actually preferred it to the Commodore line of products. Atari's version of Basic was easy to use and was fun to create programs, and even type in programs from magazines such as Antic.
After a year or two, my machine was fully expanded to 48k of memory with two floppy disk drives. Mmmmm that was the shiznik.
One of these days I'm going to pick me up a used machine to relive my childhood.
Check 'em out.

Neil Gaiman
Neil Gaiman is an author who has grown from his initial medium of graphic novels up to his current status as a great novelist and screenwriter. I grew up reading his Sandman series of graphic novels, and am currently in the middle of his most recent novel, Anansi Boys.
I just discovered today that in addition to all of his other work, he also keeps a blog. Wonder how long he will be able to keep that up with the numerous directions that he's pulled every day.
Kung Fu FU!
Sometimes I think that mentally I'm still a 14-year old boy. This little video cracked me up.

Another Brick in the Wall Videos
Music videos are an interesting media to me. Even though MTV has turned tail and has developed the most insipid form of entertainment, they were at the head of the game in the 80s with videos. In this day and age, music videos can be considered mainstream media. That being said, it's still one area where artists can go off in pretty much any tanget, and still have it be viewed by thousands of people. I recently found a site that posts links to an enormous number of online videos. Spend some time browsing and I'm willing to bet that you'll find something that you never expected.

Rediscovering MC Solaar
It's always been a hobby of mine to peruse the used bins of my local record store. There's nothing quite like the feeling of finding a CD that brings back memories of a time gone by. MC Solaar's CD Prose Combat does that for me. It reminds me of a time in my life when I had very little responsibilities and spent a ton of time relaxing on the front porch of my rented house. The song "Obsolete" can still get my rump shakin'.
