Dead Mermaid
Gobble Gobble, you betcha!
“You need a little levity in this job..”
So, slaughtering turkeys is a bucketful of laughs for ya, huh?
“I’m sure that I’ll get criticized for even this!”
You betcha. ;-)

I want an Aygo in the US!
OK, I don't really want to play soccer with one, but it would be a great city car for Portland!

Hillary's campaign is history
While I admire her tenacity, I think that most left-leaning people (notice, I did not say Democrats) who I know think that she should really throw in the towel.

Cool special effects in this Sk8 vid
Check out the intro in this skateboarding video. High end special effects that would make most movie producers proud.

Gospel with no lord
Camille does atheist gospel. Never knew there was such a thing. I am also quite fond of her songs Ta douler and Au port from her CD Le fil.

How to deal with a brown-noser
We've all had those annoying coworkers who were complete and total brown-nosers. The ones who would do anything to impress the boss. Here's one way of dealing with those annoying little twats:

Spy Hunter tribute
Cool ad. Don't know anything about the car, but I played way too much Spy Hunter as a child to not love this.

Worst company in America 2008
Consumerist is running their annual poll to find the Worst Company in America - I'm assuming that this means the U.S. Big surprise, Comcast is currently leading this dubious race. I know that's who I voted for. Those evil bastards.

Virtual Reality tech
Here's a cool bit of technology that this guy whipped up using the technology built into the Nintendo Wii. At around 2:30 he starts his demo with a comparison of a normal screen and then goes into the virtual reality part. PI wonder if in the future we'll all be wearing head detectors with our TVs...
999 - Homicide
I had an LP by these guys back in high school. This was definitely one of my favorite songs.
Emergency is also pretty darned good.

Polyphonic Spree - We Crawl
I like the concept of the video here. It feels very personal , and gives you a better view into the band members lives. Fun!

Mushroom Horse Mask Dance
I love mushrooms. Yet, this is just plain nutty. Apparently he's a Japanese performance artist. Not exactly sure what his message is from this performance...

A couple of videos from Ignite Portland
Here are a couple of videos that I recorded at Ignite Portland this past Tuesday.
First, here's how you can be part of the oldest profession in the world.
And next, here's why Germans love David Hasselhoff. You've always wanted to know, haven't you?

The SUV from hell
This looks like something that a third world dictator would have to help keep him in power. Oh wait, it's from the US Secret Service. Right.

File this under WTF
Hawaii chair? What does this have to do with Hawaii? I sure didn't see any when I was there this past August. It's definitely NOT ergonomic.
Post-it animations
This video from a Russian brass band shows off what you can do with a pad of Posti-it notes and a digital camera.

The Headlights
Love this band. Their new CD comes out in February. If this first song is any indication, I'm willing to bet that the entire CD will shine.

Yes, I too was a cub scout. But that's not what this post is all about. I actually like this catchy little indie ditty quite a bit from the band "I Was A Cub Scout"

30000 Matchstick heads
OK, this doesn't seem like the best use of one's time, but apparently if you cut the heads off of a bazillion matches you can burn them all at one time. Seems to me that it would be easier to just cut open a couple of Roman Candles, right?
Oh, and this video is from the Chinese version of YouTube - Youku. It will soon be more popular than YouTube, I bet.
